Text: Mark 11:22-26 (KJV)
Series Title: The 4 Laws of Faith
Message Title: The Person of Faith
INTRODUCTION
I believe that the subject of faith is one that is very familiar
with those of you that are present with us today and those that
are listening to us via our broadcast. But regardless to your
familiarity with the subject matter, I am reminded by the
Apostle Peter’s writings to the church expressing:
“Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in
remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be
established in the present truth,” (2 Peter 1:12 KJV)
Though you have been taught concerning the subject of faith it
is still good to be reminded of what you already know. The word
remembrance is the Greek word hupomimnesko. Hupo meaning under
as in support and mimnesko meaning to remind oneself. This
definition carries the connotation of someone reminding you to
remind yourself.
Before we move any further, I want to point out that the Apostle
points out that the audience that he is addressing is
established in the present truth. The word established is the
Greek word sterizo which means set, stable and strong. This
informs us that it is essential that we be set, stable and
strong in the truth that we know concerning faith.
Through this series of messages we want to receive revelation
concerning 4 Laws of Faith which can be found in our
foundational text, Mark 11:22-26. The first being the Person of
Faith (v22), the second the Principle of Faith (v23), the third
being The Prayer of Faith (v24) and finally the Problem of Faith
(v25-26).
